Entry 2

Keanu stayed with us despite the feeling in my gut that he would not. Leaving the Xanthous was hard, and made me miss home even more. Prophet left us all lovely yellow robes to protect us against the desert. They were wonderful when Faram led us right into the sandstorm to do a weird gliding thing where we were the ship! Then we met Alketz, the divine serpent of the astral realms. What a pretty rainbow snake with big fluffy wings! She also claimed to see fate, which seems to be a reoccurring thing astral entities do. I wonder if I can gain this ability. She wanted us to help the son of the old Lord of Fire, who was actually a Lady of Fire and was killed by the mean Tecropolis people. Her son is a very young wyvern and I was sad to see he doesn't speak any languages. He is very sweet, however! I'm not sure if we should take him with us. Roe seems to be quite bonded with him, but I fear the kind of trouble of having a companion we can't readily communicate with. Oh, and I can't forget the sad travelers we encountered before reaching the wyvern. Their leader wasn't happy to hear our opinions of the Tecropolis, and I suspect they'll likely end up as zombies in their army. I knew the Xanthous weren't perfect people, but destroying villages seemed extreme. In the end, we left the traveler with some rations and left him to his fate. I hope I never become as fearful and jaded as him. We'll likely be stealing the spelljammer tomorrow. May fate be twisted in our favor, Father.
